CMAA Florida Chapter - Tampa International Airport – (CEC) Managing Construction from the Inside Out

A brief, open discussion on the Planning and Development Team at TIA and how they manage the airports construction projects on and off property. Join Brian Morris, CCM with Jacobs and Chris Rhodes, CMIT with the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority for this discussion

Presentation to start at 3:00pm with appetizers provided and a cash bar available during the networking sessions from 4:00pm through 5:00pm.

Brian S. Morris, CCM

Brian Morris is a Construction Project Manager working for Jacobs Engineering since 2010.  Brian spent several years overseeing Rail/Station Projects for Amtrak before switching over to the Aviation Division.   He Managed the construction of the new Automated People Mover Stations as part of the Billion dollar, Master Plan – Phase 1 projects for Tampa International Airport and is currently ramping up to support them through Phase 2 Construction.  Brian is a United States Air Force Veteran, working as a Civil Engineering, Structural Technician.  Brian retired in 2009 after 20+ years of honorable service. 

 

Chris Rhodes, CMIT

Chris Rhodes is an Assistant Project Manager and has been working for the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority since 2016.  He is currently managing Capital Improvement Construction Projects for the General Aviation Airports in Hillsborough County.   Chris formerly owned a commercial construction company for 12 years that specialized in millwork installations for corporations such as Walmart, McDonalds, and Bose.
